The team at Southeastern Health & Wellness Institute is dedicated to SANITATION + infection control as the primary focus of its curriculum – with ingredient knowledge and science-based understanding in mind. Nail Technology is a fast-growing niche market, with a desire for stronger, more modern education at its helm. In the US alone, according to data brand Research and Markets, there are nearly 30,000 nail salons (nearly six times the number of barber shops in the country). There is a new emerging nail subculture in 2025-2026, with freelance nail artists taking the nail art industry by storm! Because Southeastern Health & Wellness Institute promotes independent business ownership, we are thrilled at the trends we are seeing in the industry! Independent artists make up a big chunk of the industry: although Research and Markets calculates that nail salons rake in around $8 billion a year in the US alone, self-employed technicians make an additional $9 billion.

Course Outcomes
Students in the Nail Technology Program at Southeastern Health & Wellness Institute will combine a number of technical skills and theory education to excel in the industry for many years to come!
Mastery of Fundamental Techniques: Students will develop proficiency in the fundamental nail care techniques, including manicures, pedicures, nail shaping, cuticle care, and the proper application of nail polish. Practical sessions will ensure hands-on experience with a variety of nail types and conditions.
Specialized Nail Services: The Nail Technology Program at SEHW will equip students with skills in specialized nail services such as gel and acrylic nail application, nail art, and advanced nail enhancement techniques. Creativity and precision will be fostered through these modules!
Safety and Hygiene Standards: Participants will be thoroughly educated on state and federal regulations governing salon safety and hygiene. Proper sterilization techniques and workspace maintenance protocols will be covered extensively.
Professional Development: Through the Nail Technology Program. students will learn about the importance of maintaining a professional image, developing communication skills for client interaction, and understanding the nuances of customer satisfaction in the nail industry.
